Project Details
This project involved designing a range of fixings used to fix structural steel elements together. The details of the range were specified, then the drafting and FEA process was supervised to ensure that the designs would meet the loading specification required. Once the designs were finalised tooling was commissioned and pre-production samples were produced in the far east.
The testing process was devised and tooling designed and produced to be used in the test process.
Once the pre-production samples were received a testing program was undertaken that confirmed real world performance. The results and full documentation were then submitted to Tüv for certification which was obtained.
